Investigation on nonlinear optical and optical limiting properties of Cd<sub>0.7</sub>Zn<sub>0.3</sub>Te quantum dots

Ternary alloyed Cd 0.7 Zn 0.3 Te colloidal quantum dots were synthesized under open atmosphere conditions. The characterized XRD studies, DLS technique and optical absorption measurements. Using tauc urbach relation the energy bandgap obtained. intensity depended nonlinear parameters of determined with Z-scan experimental setup using a green laser source working on continuous wave mode. coefficient β, along limiting capacity dot is investigated through aperture set up. transmittance showed sharp dip at maximum point which indicates reverse saturable absorption. threshold value for was obtained around 4.6 KJ/cm 2 . refractive index find out closed negative sign attributed to self-defocusing phenomena. studies indicate that sample exhibits good properties applications in materials.
